The clamp on pieces can be substituted with greenhouse clamps..I used my frame very briefly. It was hard on the back because I was constantly twisting my body to get to areas..When I move I will try it again as I should have room to use a rolling chair and go around to where I need to be. I have several sizes of the lap size pvc frames and love them!

I've had my Q-snap for about 2 years now - I got it on craigslist for $20!! Love, love, love it - I usually hand tie my quilts and find this little gem to be the best second set of hands ever! Go for it!!

yes, that is a good price, grab it......to try to make it yourself might end up costing more than the price of one that is made correctly. As far as bending over.....I have one and I have raised the front legs with added pvc to make it tilt. I purchased those from the company who made the table (over 10 yrs ago) and I don't know if it is still available...but just somehow raise those front legs - just like the tiltable wooden handquilting frames available.........

Tilting it. I took a couple cardboard boxes and placed them under the corner legs at the back of the frame. It worked for me. Wonder what I did with those boxes -- guess I'll have to find some more the next time that I use it.
Almost anything would work. If it keeps sliding off twist tie it on!! I'm all for using anything that I already have around.
