I made one of the mystery BOMs and added a little extra fabric to make it Into a quilt for my king size bed. My question is this, what should I do for shams? Should I just make them one solid color, or make another star that is in the quilt and go from there? I am afraid if I add more blocks it will make everything too busy, but if I make the shams out of just one fabric it will be too blah. Any thoughts?

And I don't have a picture because it is at the longarmer.

I'd use the star that is in the quilt. That way, if the quilt ever wears out then you have the sham still....and shams usually don't get nearly the wear that quilts do. At least at my house, anyway.

I think either way would be nice. I'm leaning toward the star, but you know what the quilt looks like and if you think it would be too busy, I would go plain (maybe with some cording), which would be very nice as well. Dani
