Default QAYG with Paper Pieced Blocks

I just finished 3 of Carol Doak's 12" blocks. I'd like to make them into a wall hanging or table runner. What can anybody tell me about QAYG?

you put batting, backing behind your blocks, quilt as desired, then join them using sashing strips on top & bottom-with the blocks butted together...there are many, many tutorials, books, patterns methods to do quilt as you go.

A wall hanging or table runner should be a good intro to QAYG, and shouldn't be too difficult.

This is a good one. What do I do with borders? How/when do I?
