    Default Question about appliqué

Hi. I made a small baby quilt for donation and it's fine the way it is but I want to spruce it up with some raw edge hearts in every other block. Can I do this on a finished and bound quilt if I use a blanket stitch and only go through the top and batting? Has anyone done this before? I just decided at the last minute it needed something extra

I suppose if your doing it by hand you sure could, never done it but sounds like it would work.

I'd do a zigzag on the machine since it's for a baby.

Ditto; if it's for a baby it'll get washed a million times and what ever you do you want it to stay. I'd do it with the machine and the stitching on the back is just added design.

That's true. Thanks, I'll give it a try.
