question about binding on curves
#1
I am binding a quilt with rounded corners and wanted to know if I should clip the curves before sewing down the binding. I notice that now the corners kinda curl up and don't lay really flat.

If you are using the bias for your binding there should be no problem at all.
I will add a piece of bias at each corner so the binding will go around the curve smoothly and the rest of the binding is lengthwise grain. Hope this helps for some of your curves ahead!
There was another tip from a member who I'm sorry to say, I can't remember who, said not to iron a fold in the binding before you sew it onto the quilt. When you bring the binding to the back you get a very smooth edge and don't fight with a crease in the binding. I tried it and WOW. What a difference in my binding. This is not related to the question at hand but just in addition to using bias for curves.

You use bias binding to do curves and be careful not to pull or stretch the bias binding or it will make the corners curl up. I do clip the rounded edge of my quilt after I sew the bias binding to the top side. I wait until the binding is sewn to the top so that you can clip almost up to the sewing line if I have a tight curve. I usually don't clip the curve if it is a gently rounded corner.
