Has anyone made one of the quilts from the Flip Flop series in the Quiltmaker magazine? I've got the fabric cut and the applique pattern traced and I'm ready to start, but part of the instructions are a little confusing.

Let us know which part you find confusing and you'll get lots of help.

Looks like they did a series of different patterns. Are you doing the snowflake, pear, butterfly, or ???

I'm doing the sunflower pattern from the July/August issue, but all of the yardage requirements and instructions are in the snowflake pattern in the January/February issue. The instructions say to cut one 11-7/8" square from each fabric (done), and make a full-size pattern of the applique (done), then "prepare the snowflakes for fusible applique". I'm guessing that means to fuse the fabric to the applique pattern and I assume that I should use the leftover fabric after cutting the blocks for the appliques. If that's the case, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be short on fabric.
