I'm thinking of buying one, but need to know for sure, if the text can be edited so that I can made quilt labels? Not looking for a sewing machine but a dedicated embroidery one that is affordable and not about $700 or $800.

I bought mine from Ken's Sewing and Vacuum Center online. I paid $629. It just arrived yesterday so I haven't had a chance to play with it. Their staff is so friendly and supportive. That is why I chose to do business with them. I know if I have any questions, they will be more than willing to help me.

Go with the one that offers the best service. Amazon won't help you; they are just sales. Check out the place Joeysnana got hers from. If they are friendly, and not too far from you go there and check out the machine. Ask a bunch of questions about service because that's something you will eventually need. Last thing you need is to shop for repair shops when your machine is down. Good luck.

I just received the Brother PE770 as a Christmas present. Have played with it and so far I love it. I am going to ask for the 5x12 hoop, hopefully Santa has some money left.
I have 2 regular machines, so I wanted a embroidery only. Paid under $700 at Wal-Mart internet.
The reason I bought at Wal-Mart is, that if anything goes wrong, I can return to any store within 90 days. This will save in shipping, if needed.
