I have arthritis & it took forever for me to pin on a quilt. I now have the red snappers and love them. So much easier, faster & more comfortable for me to load a quilt. Would buy them again & recommend them whenever someone asks me about them.

I have the Leader Grips (same as RS) and love them. My DH bought me the grippers that hold the entire thickness of the quilt and these will be used when I turn the quilt to do the side borders.

My husband bought me the red snappers when I purchased the new longarm, so I've been using them for about 3 months. It sure makes loading/ unloading easier, faster. I've had no problems lining up straight or needing excess fabric. They are a nice addition to my upgrade

Got them, love them, if you are having a problem with them being tight use a hair dryer to warm up the clip on piece. I didn't have any problems at all...

How do you attach your top to the zippers?

There are several different products to choose from: Red Snappers, Leader Grips, and Mondo Clips. Some people also use the bar magnets from Harbor Freight, designed to hold knives or tools.

I love my Red Snappers. I was always stabbing myself with pins. I am thinking about also making zipper leaders, in case I want to swap out quilts in mid stream. However, I will probably have to buy another set of Red Snappers.

I've also got the red snappers. Being left handed, it took me forever to pin, so another LAQ turned me onto the red snappers. It sure made a difference! No more getting stuck by pins & it is so much faster to load & unload a quilt! I can also change quilts mid-stream, if needed, without too much trouble. Definitely worth the investment!

I use poor man's red snappers and they do work. For me, I find it helps to pin every few inches before snapping in the outer tubes. They don't work well with flannel since it is thicker than cotton. Also the snapper on the top edge does take up space in the throat space of the machine. It's not a problem with the bottom edge of the backing, though.

I bought a pair of red snappers the first of this year. I love them! At first they are pretty hard to snap on, but once you use them a couple times they work great. They hold the quilt better than pins, more even, and it's faster to load the quilt with them.
