Hi
I've been asked to make a quilt with a logo on it for a board room of a senior living center. Any tips are welcome.
Its only got two shades of green on a white background - should I use some kind of variations of white to make the background more interesting? and if I get the words embroidered on - do I give the embroiderer a large blank white piece, or does the embroidery go on after the background is pieced?

do you want the logo to be embroidered on a block that you can include in your spacing and design or do you want it to be made like a patch and sewn on to the finished quilt? If you are making the quilt the choice is yours. If the whole quilt is to be in two shades of green and white then the usual design would be having the logo in a medallion block in the middle with a green border, followed by another border in the second shade of green. Then a wide border of white with two more green borders. I would definitely have white on white for a more interesting look. Maybe pararie points instead of a binding.

Thanks for the response. I will definitely make the borders more interesting - might even find a way to use pale blue and yellow somehow to give it more interest
