Default The thought was there

The past winter my DD bought me a quilt kit from JoAnns. It was after I opened it that she realized it was just the finishing pieces for a quilt of the month kit. Evidently is has been discontinued as I couldn't find the 12 individual block kits that coordinate with it so I've been searching for "complimentary" fabric to make my own blocks and finish the quilt. Needless to say, after creating my own version of the blocks that were pictured in the directions, the quilt looks very different. I have to admit this may be the most "abtract (trying to be nice) quilt I've ever done. My DH says it looks cheerful! (also trying to be nice) Its been a good winter project and has taught me about how to design and measure my own blocks. I'll post pictures when I get it put together.

I've done that - bought one or not all of the blocks for a BOM kit. Haven't finished any of them yet, but you could use any or all of the block patterns for the year, or use them individually for hot pads.

Just keep going and it will be fine. No one will know what it is suppose to look like unless you show a picture.
