I have dark green borders on my queen size quilt and marked a pattern on it with chalk pencil "" General " brand-and decided not to use it and machine quilted with a different pattern - proceeded to remove the chalk 1st by rubbing it ,than used water and will not come off - any suggestions for removing the chalk?

try some type of eraser: Pencil eraser, fabric eraser or Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

well what does the pencil itself say on removing it? ck that first. you may need to soak the quilt in Oxy clean and rub the border markings too. i removed pencil that way. good luck.
