I did this with all my blue scraps. I agree with finding a color to unify them together. In my case, I used the same yellow as the center of each block, with white all over sashing and a second yellow for the sashing squares.

I love greens. I made a pattern called Faceted Jewels with all greans just mixed up and a cream colored background color. It was Gorgeous. I dont remember who the author of the pattern was by but you could use a search on the internet and find it.

You didn't say what your skill level is, but I am doing a very simple "string" quilt using all purples. It is coming together nicely - even better than I thought it would.
