    Default Quilt Labels

    Do you label your quilts? Whats the easiest way to do it. I have to do 8 by Christmas!

    I've also used scraps of fabric that was in the quilt, or a cream colored muslin type fabric. I will often trim the edge of the label w/ contrasting fabric, framing it before sewing it on.

    I design mine on Printmaster card making software, print out on computer print fabric, and then machine applique on a background fabric, last step is to applique to the middle of the bottom!

    You can do almost anything you want for a label. I do however just sign and date my backing fabric before I put the label on over it. This way if it is stolen and they take the label off there is still identification.

    I have seen some folks that have embrodiery machines that make beautiful labels on them. Mine are just hand written with fabric safe permanent pen.
