I can't help you- guess it would depend on whether ribbon was ink or a carbon film. I haven't heard of that method, but I don't DO typewriters.

You could look at HP custom quilt label kit which will give you the crisp clean and neat labels. There is special paper that goes through the printer attached to your computer for printing them out. It also has some preset designs. Just a thought

I print mine on my printer with fabric I buy at Hancock's that is already prepped and has a stiff paper back. Works great! Barb

Would any one have the info, as to where, someone mite be able to order custom quilt lables? Or where to acquire the info, as to where to look. Without selling an arm or leg to get some?

Try googling your request. I've seen them on quite a few quilt websites but can't remember which one?

Found the instructions for the vinager. Type or print your label than take a cloth that was soaked in equal parts of water & vinager and place in on the label and iron and that will set the ink, so you can wash the quilt and the ink wont run or fad.
