Did she say "Quilt Master" or "Master Quilter"??

If someone had worked that hard, and had the distinction of having "Master Quilter" bestowed upon them they would not make the mistake of calling themselves a "Quilt Master" as opposed to the correct nomenclature.

If she said "Quilt Master" I highly doubt it is a true "Master Quilter".

Hmm I've never heard of that. Reminded me of a guy my husband met once, had "B.D.O.P." after his title on his business card. My husband asked him what it meant, he replied that he'd had that title for years and DH was the first to ask about it. It meant Big Dog On Porch. Bwaa haaa haaa!

When I was working all day, going to school at night, raising kids and had a DH all while going to college at night, my SIL told me she didnt have to go to school as she had her M.R.S. degree. Yeah, MRS. married. She thinks she is funny. I wasn't impressed at the time I was just tired. Now, I can see it is funny.

So there really is such a thing. I like what Clint Eastwood would say, "she's a legend in her own mind!" I don't care where the get their desigantion from, it's a snotty thing to drop into a conversation. She ranks right up there with the Quilt Police.

I pulled up the list from the website and surprise - surprise - her name isn't listed. More investigating.........

With as difficult as it looks like master quilter is to obtain it wouldn't be a snotty thing to drop into a conversation at all. It would be something to be proud of.

What is even funnier is that the guy advertised that on his business cards. In my circles to be the big dog on the porch means you can't keep up, you can't compete with the big guys in the field so don't even try. The saying I know is "If you can't run with the big dogs then stay on the porch".
