Our Guild Christmas Party this year!
Our guild has a tradition of exchanging Christmas blocks every November. We sign and date our block and wrap it.
The blocks are then passed out randomly to those who participated. The Christmas Block exchange has been going on for years. We were told to bring All our blocks collected over the years to share at our Dec. meeting. I think we may pin them to a wall to have a Parade of blocks across the gym. .. Oh what a beautiful site! If time allows, we may read the names on the blocks to have a walk down memory lane...of members who have moved, passed away or left the guild for various reasons.
Wishing all you a very Merry Christmas and a Quilty New Year!

Oh, how lovely. My quilting group exchanges blocks every year too. We handle it a bit differently but we end up with a quilt made by our quilting friends.. Last year I managed it from my home, we were not meeting. This year we did not do an exchange which makes me sad. Looking forward to seeing you guild's event and "ooing" and "ahhhing" as the blocks.

What a great guild idea. I missed out Christmas party this year. I am still recovering from COVID and somewhat weak a great deal of the time. I have been missing the guild so much I could just stomp my feet . The plan is to go back in January.
I think I will propose this to the guild. Thanks so much for this great idea.
