Default Need Quilting help Suggestions Please

This is a quilt that was hand pieced and appliqued by a friends deceased grandma. The quilt is not square by any means and a lot of the seams don't match. It was one of the last things she did before she passed away this year.

I have it loaded on my Tin Lizzie and will be floating the top so I can adjust the top as needed. The batting is polyester, not my choice, but it will be used more as a comforter and will look really cute.

I am going to do a loopy meander and outlining in the white of the blocks around the butterflies (appliqued). I am just not sure what to do on the borders. The top and bottom borders are wider than the side borders. And I don't want to quilt too densely so it stays fluffy, but enough that the handstitching will be sturdy.
I appreciate the help, I am just stumped on these borders. I thought about a loose spacy feather, but not sure how to do the corners.

Sorry I'm not a LA quilter, but I like your idea of outlining the white blocks of butterflies. Wonder if you could duplicate the flight pattern of butterflies in the borders. As I said, I'm not a LA quilter, but it might look OK. Let us see how you get it finished. It's gonna be great!

A sied note, I will be working on this in the mornings when i get off work (3rd shift) before I go to bed, so if I don't respond right away, I just wanted everyone to know why.

What a beautiful quilt-just love the bright colors. IMHO I'd quilt swirls in the printed border and then I'd treat the three narrow borders as one. Maybe just vines and leaves meandered thru the 3 borders. Please post when finished-I'd love to see it done. I'm sure you'll get lots of ideas here.

Our eyes are going to be on the butterflies. How about just a wavy line down each small border. Just a thought. Barny

I agree with janRN and barny - do something fairly simple as the butterflies are the main focus and one of the borders and sashing is very busy anyway. The meandering vines and leaves sounds good too.
By the way, it's a very pretty quilt.

Swirls in the borders would be nice.

Butterflies in the border would be very cool.

My vote is for keeping is simple. I agree with JanRN. Leaves and vines - treating the 3 narrow borders as one.
