Back when Atlantic City first had gambling, my husband and I used to take the bus down, get the $20 & free lunch tickets. A couple times I got $16 or so back, but never went over the $20 spending limit. That was before I started quilting, but have always been very careful with my money. But now that I am a widow and am very close to 70, I figure I can't take it with me and all my kids have considerably more money than me. So if I want something I get it. Don't owe anybody, and pay off the credit cards at the end of every month. I'm not rich but I'm not poor either. Fabric store here I come

On Tuesday all the casinos(9) around here give freeplay to Seniors. We make the rounds with a bunch of friends. There used to be a breakfast for 99 cents and we'd start with that but the casino quit doing it. Sometimes we win and most times we don't. We're a bunch of retired school teachers and it gives us a chance to visit. The casinos here have the cheapest meals. You can eat for $6 and they give you a $5 freeplay with your meal.

I don't gamble much but if I did, all my winnings would suring go toward a new longarm or fabic. (maybe I need to go to the boats!)

Yes I gamble. There are about 10 different trible casinos within a 2 hour drive, 5 within a 15 minute drive. I take in 40 and see where it gets me, but only a few times a month.

I bought my sewing machine with gambling winnings - which allowed me to get twice the machine I was originally going to get! I usually go to the casino every 3 months or so, but ALWAYS set a budget for myself.

Yes, Debbie, Riverwind is one of my haunts. We live way to close to several casinos!

I don't go to the casino to gamble, I'm usually the one going in to get my dh's stinking cigarettes, because I'm usually the one going to town, I go in, get his cigarettes, then leave, can't stand the stench in there. I've been told they have great food, but I personally couldn't be in there long enough to order anything, little only eat.
