Default Dull Cutter Blades

Have any of you ever had problems with the carpet replacement blades for cutters? I bought 10 of them. I opened four of them and all four are so dull. Am I doing something wrong or do some blades come less than sharp sometimes? I will try some of the other blades to see if they will cut. I bought them from Harbour Freight.

Send them back with a complaint. I've been getting my carpet blades from Harbor Freight for a long time, and I've always gotten super sharp blades, sharper than anything else I could buy. This must be a mistake, as I know other quilters who always get their blades from Harbor Freight, and are always pleased. You got a bad batch, that's all. Have them replaced, then see how you like them.

I've seen for sale a rotary blade sharpener. Anyone have experience with one? Recommend?

You do realize there are 2 blades in the pack, right? You may have both of them in your cutter and they won't cut hot butter together.... Also, check your mat, if it is worn any the blades won't work well then either.... (ask me how I know these things....)

I second this! Just be SUPER careful when you try to get them apart! I have more trouble with these on my white Dritz mat than on my green Olfa one.

If you opened 4 packages, that should be 8 blades....not 4....are you using 2 together?

Oh dear! I wonder why since they were such good sellers. I just looked on their website and they are still selling them.
