Default Quilting Fever

As many know, when in the midst of the years of raising a family, you don't always get a lot of time to quilt!

Just because I haven't had the time to do any quilting in a couple of weeks doesn't mean it isn't on my mind.

I love coming on here and pouring through the Pictures Forum. I mostly lurk, but LOVE the great quilts, made with love and creativity. There are so many wonderful ideas, how will I ever get to try them all????

I think there must be something wrong with me. I was playing MahJong on my Kindle Fire the other day, and as I looked at the background, I said to anyone in particular who would listen, "That would make a beautiful quilting design!" I find myself noticing ideas in the strangest places. A modern art type of quilt born from one of my children playing on the "Paint" program on the computer. I made them save it for future reference for me. Designs in the carpeting at the Dentist's. Wrapping paper designs. Store tiling, and even etchings on glasses and ceiling fans.

What is wrong with me? LOL... I think I need to do some quilting!

In all seriousness, I wonder if there is a way to get the design off my MahJong game to the computer to print up? I am terrible at stuff like that. Hmmm... ....

Thanks for reading. :P

I'm like you. Even if I'm not quilting, it is always on my mind. Sometimes I get so excited about an idea, I have a hard time sleeping!

I do the same thing so you all are not alone! It is an addiction. Beehiveof9 not sure how to get the design off the game but could you take a picture of the design then download it to your computer? Let me know if that will work.

I do the same thing; designs are EVERYWHERE! You can use screen capture software to save an image of your computer screen. Just google "screen capture software" to find them...many even have a free trial offer. I have a paid version of something called SnagIt that I love. (I use it at work a lot for writing how-to documentation.)

Do a print screen. Scan it. Modify as needed. In saying this...I don't exactly know how to do the print screen, I just know you can.

I have a similar problem. I find myself in business meetings looking at the men's shirts and thinking that the plaid, stripe, color, etc. would be perfect in the quilt I am making now. I tend to make scrappy quilts so most shirts are perfect!!! LOL :-)

I do to! I'm constantly looking around to see what would look good in a quilt.

We are obcessed! I carry a small notebook and pencil in my purse. I have sketched floor tile patterns, wall paper designs for applique, and even some designs from those very large area rugs for border ideas. If I see a color combination I really like in furniture or clothing or just anything I write it down. I am ate up with quilting. Think we need to join Quilters Anonymous? LOL
