Does anyone know What is the neatest way to hand hem around the outside of a quilt?

    Thanks, Phyllis

if i want it to be decorative, i use the blanket stitch. otherwise, i use teeny tiny stitches, as though i was doing applique, so they don't show.

I want mine to show, so I use , contrasting thread, and use a stitch you would use to hem a skirt. If I hand quilt I darn well want to show it off. :D
