John Flynn Multi-System set-up?
#1
Hi All,
I purchased the John Flynn Multi-frame a few months ago and have only tried a little free-motion on the machine.
I mostly bought it to hand quilt on.
I have all of the pieces (muslin, carpet tape, grosgrain ribbon).
I'm about ready to set it up with the long poles and am daunted by it.
I'm sure that there's a trick to attaching the leader strips!!!!!
I wonder if anyone has some advice on setting it up for hand quilting?
The instructions suggest that I machine-baste the quilt to remove the middle bar.
Let me know your experiences!
I'm ready to hand - quilt the log cabin!

I have one, but it was to hard to use for a large quilt when machine quilting. I attached my muslin with carpet tape and pinned the quilt to the leaders. It kept it taunt, but was too hard to move. I think it would be ok to hand quilt on but am not sure how to set it up for that.
