I was able to get my copy at JoAnn's using one of those 40% off coupons. If you don't get the newspaper with their weekly ad and coupon, there's a coupon on line at their site.

I just picked up the second new one, Summer edition and haven't read it yet thought I'm excited that they are publishing it four times a year!

Jenny didn't even know she was on air when her son told her she was on air. She was taking questions from her Facebook page. Really impromto. But she said she was working on the issue that comes out in March! But I see it is the Summer issue. She said if you order from MSQC, she'll autograph it. I guess she's going to be the main attraction of this 'Quilting Quickly' magazine. She has those 'Quilting Quickly' classes on Craftsy.com also. I am going to keep buying them. I bought the digital and the hard copy both. I couldn't wait to go to town to get a copy.

I did not know she has classes on crafty.........does one have to pay for them? What does she offer on these classes? I will have to see. I am surprised the Summer issue is out already, is it the same price as initial one-9.99?

fons and porter were 2 nice women who quilted well. now they are a corporation and everything is dollar signs to them. their commercialism bothers me. their name is on things they have no part in, like notions made cheaply, sold for a big profit, by dritz. they are just too big for their britches, to say it bluntly.

I guess that I, too, am blunt and feel that your comment mirrors my opinion. I hope that Jenny and MSQ don't get taken in by this poor judgement by F/P . I don't understand the on line cost being the same as the print version since I am paying for the paper and ink which is very expensive to print a whole magazine. I would rather buy a good hard cover or spiral bound book for the money involved....no advertisement either. On RARE occasions, I will buy a "used" magazine at my quilt guild and find that adequate. How many of the patterns are really new and not just new adaptations of the same old pattern. New fabrics seem to me to be what makes the quilts so appealing. Pay to read those ads...NOT. That is why I don't take Readers Digest anymore...too many ads. If I have to put up with all the ads and pull out cards in a magazine then it should be a very, very low cost magazine...the ads pay for the magazine. In fact, I receive several (not quilting but very good magazines) that are actually free and well done on high quality paper with great photos and reliable information. Some have ads but they are grouped in the back and are tastefully done. Seems like some of these big mags could learn from those magazines.

It will be interesting watching the future developments of Fons/Porter or should we say Fons/Fons.......
I agree..unfortunately I can not watch the show anymore because of the daughter..drives me nuts the way she shakes her head all the time. i know its petty..but it is not the same to me when liz retired and to me its the daughter. Thats just me.

Picked up the second edition and think it will be my last. Really had nothing that appealed to me and cost is too much.

Also notoced that the videos are now on Fonsandporter.com. Is paying for the videose far behind!? Hope not.

I have looked all over for the magazine and I have not found it. Where did some of you purchase the magazine?
