Default Quilts are focus of room

I went to my old home town last week and while there visited a friend I have had for twenty years. She had the quilt I made for her mom on her wall and a quilt I made her on a quilt rack below it. I was so pleased.

I made the quilt for her mom in 2003 and the quilt for her in 2012.

So nice to know they loved your work! When I went to the funeral of a friends mother they had draped a quilt I had made her, I didn’t realize home much she liked it. Makes a difference in how I view gifted quilts.

Isn’t it wonderful when our gifts are appreciated?

That’s so nice! I love when I go to someone’s house and I see my quilt draped over the back of a sofa or hanging on the baby’s wall. Of course, then there are the times when there’s no sign of the quilt anywhere....

Oh how lovely...And I love seeing a quilt in tatters...especially a child's quilt...It means it was well loved and used. My 45 yo son has remnants of his "bird" quilt from his baby days!

What a great thing to see how she displays your quilts. I am sure that makes you feel so good in knowing she treasures those gifts.
