Default Quilts for oklahoma

A few weeks ago I read somewhere not to send quilts to Oklahoma as the people had other things to deal with at the time. Is now a good time to send them? Do the people really want quilts?
Thank you

From what I understand they need monetary donations and clothing and food supplies more than quilts. Some insurance companies are claiming the act of God bs to get out of paying. And if the insurance companies had not received insurance payments the day before or of the tornados, they don't want to pay either. It's a real mess. Not fare by far. I just try to send prayers from the Gulf everyday. Don't have the money. Have donated canned food and clothes and that's about the best I can do so far.

Our guild sent 11 to a guild in More and an officer distributed them. We got a very nice thank you, that they were touched that people from WI sent quilts
