I agree! I had never ever owned any white fabric, would never think of using it, never even considered it, until I made a couple baby quilts not too long ago. I had bought a couple yards of "plain old boring" white mainly to embroider quilt labels, and I used a little in some of the baby quilts - - they SPARKLED because of that white in them. Made me look at "plain old boring white" in a whole new way!

I like using white, too. It's very cheery to work on. Here are a few I've done...

I like using solid whites for a more graphic, modern style.

you know, you are so right. i'm seeing white now and asking myself when will i get around to it-they're so neat and clean looking. jet black has the same effect.

The white quilts are lovely, anxious to try sewing with the white. However, I promised myself I would finish up my ufo's before I even considered a new project.

I love white in quilts, too! The first quilt I make for ME is going to have a lot of white. I love how it sets off the colors. They look so clear and the whole quilt so crisp and clean.
