The denim quilts with the frayed seams gave me a fashion idea (denim bodice/corset with frayed seams), but I don't know how well it would work since clothes get a little more wear and tear than quilts. What do you think?

Those used to be a big rage in the 70's (I think that was when) and they do hold up well.

These hold up really well. You can clip horizonally for a shorter shag . Have used this on the girls vests before.
