I planned to do nothing but sew today, since hubby was in school and it was to cold to go outside. I went into my sewing room and set down and started to sew. Then got a call from a friend. Tried to sew and talk at the same time. Ended up sewing one triangle to the wrong side. Stopped sewing till I got off the phone. Then I sewed it the same way as before. Yech!!!The third time I made another mistake. After the fourth mistake, I desided this was not the day to sew. Will try again tomorrow.
Any other experiences like this?
And I was so eager to finish up my blocks for the Round Robin.

I have tried so many times to sew or press while on the phone, never works! Sometimes I get mad when the phone rings! And since we have caller ID I sometimes even don't answer if I don't want to talk to the person calling!

I do enjoy caller ID, it let me keep my pace and can call them back when I take a break.

Count me in as one who has done the same thing. And it seems like when I have a large block of time to sew, something or someone manages to interfere. I also enjoy caller ID, and if the door bell rings, I check before going to answer it. Quilting time is precious!

I was going to sew all day today too. I did finish putting a baby quilt together, then sandwiched it, and decided instead of sewing I would cut the batting for the other two quilts that I really really want to get done, so I didn't sew, but was still involved in my quilting.

you guys are lucky to have caller id. my phone doesn't have it. well my house phone. i hate having to stop sewing and answer the phone. especially when it is those annoying calls of you have won this or trying to get you to switch to this. or those news paper calls. it really throws a wrench into the flow of sewing.
