Sorry for the mess. I found out the hard way that my batting is not safe near the floor when quilting. My darling poodle likes to roll in it and chew. I have absolutely no idea why--she only does it with batting, not material. For only being 8 lbs. batting doesn't stand a chance with her.

In other words, "johnny' can do no wrong?

LOL! That label would make me stop and re-read it. "Quilting done by dog". I'd wonder when "Dog the Bounty Hunter" started quilting.

LOL! About to PIMP!

Oh, my...I am sorry this happened to you! Not knowing the age of the young man who did this, I either believe he thought he was helping (in which case I would explain that he should never play with the sewing machine), or really be upset with him (if it truly was a prank). And, no, I don't think I'd have him doing the ripping...that could invite other problems. So, so sorry.

My kids' friends still talk about the "lickins" that took place at my house. LOL . Getting a big wet lewie in the ear always made more of an impression than harsh words/spankings. Especially when it was in front of their friends!

I think your nephew needs to be on "KP duty" for a couple days...

After knowing how much his "little joke" upset you ----I bet he NEVER does that to your machine again.

When my kids were little I got into the habit of locking the needle and turning the machine off everytime I got up. I learned that lesson the hard way, too.

I would have been absolutely livid! Definitely unfunny and worth more than a rant!
