What a wonderful find. (saved, rescued!) I hope you finish it. I bet the quilter is smiling down on you. I love hand embroidery. It's really pretty.

I am almost embarrassed to say how much I got it for. ($10.00) but I also think she's glad someone bought it that appreciates it. If I were independently wealthy, she would have gotten more from me, as it was, she got my entire garage sale budget lol

I love it. You are lucky to find it. The V for Victory sounds just like WW2 Adds. I would bet she started it right after WW2.

Turns out my boyfriend is acquainted with her husband, i may get the chance to see more of her mom's work, or at least see if she remembered any more about it.
