Missouri Quilt Company has a tutorial. I made several for our Christmas Bazaar. Our computer was just rebuilt and it's like learning a whole new thing! Can someone give her the link?

When i work on flannel I have found that it shrinks..wash before and dry hot! I don't wash hot. I don't use softener. Try finding the way your flannel works.. does it stretch? Most don't. Tape the bottom to your work place to make sure it does not shift to "sandwich." I am assuming you are not using batting...do pin (flat head pins) about every 4 inches. Machine speed slow. Only thing i can think of.

I made changing pads or lovey cloths with satin of sort and flannel "quilting" every two inches. These squares were about 14 inch square.

Other than that use flannel for quilt backing and have to unpin and smooth ad I go.

Love to know your outcome..good luck!

I second chair jogger's suggestion to wash the flannel before you sew (no softener). Sometimes it takes a couple wash/dry cycles before it's done shrinking. The up side is that it gets thicker and softer.

I made those for my daughter. They were her favorite blankies and she is still using them (He is almost 2). I spray glued them and meander quilted them together. Binding was made from coordinating fabric (all flannels).

I made these for my kids and I never quilted them.. (trusting soul that I was.) I never had a problem with shifting. I always washed and dried first and always laid out the flannel layers going the same direction. Than just sewed, did them birthing style and top stitched.

These are great as the store ones are too small. I always make the 44x44
