So glad you rescued it from the "dark". Can't believe it wasn't used before you rescued it. Very breath taking The first pattern that came to my mind is feathered star as well, but it is a little different.

It doesnt look like flying geese in the sashing to me. It looks like a square with a hst on each side, thus the no point

I agree that it is a feathered star with flying geese, but also will agree that it is very striking and beautifully done. How lucky you are to have this. I am so glad you saw the beauty in it and allow it to breathe fresh air once in a while. Thanks for sharing.
