My gosh, I think that is an incredible quilt! That was a loss for the fair goers, however your friend must be over the moon. :)

you guys are too kind...I didn't know what in the heck they were talking about, I need to find that paper again and reread it. I just remember that it said "it didn't flow".

I LOVE your quilt. How mean and hurtful to be rejected from a fair because "it doesn't flow". I think it's just plain mean. I'm so sad this happened to you.

By WHOSE standards it doesn't flow??? It looks pretty "flowy" to me. Maybe the judges had some idee fixe in mind they couldn't get past. Or are quilt show judges just Quilt Police in training? <G> I think you did a super job, and that you're very creative, and that your friend will LOVE it!
