Default Collage Quilts

For those of you who make collage quilts, do you use regular steam a seam 2 or lite steam a seam 2 and why?

I just took a class today and we were told to skip the Steam-a-Seam and use a glue stick or a quick spray of 505 or a product like that. Its less stiff to sew through. Interesting class and I'm looking forward to trying this.

I’ve used Elmer’s washable school glue, wonder under and misty fuse. I just use them to tack the pieces down long enough to get them to my machine and then I stitch them in place.

I use Steam a Seam Lite 2 as it is thinner and easier to sew through if you get layers built up. I like SAS because you can stick the piece on and re-position until you get it right before you iron it down.
I've never had a problem sewing through SAS.

I am loving what I am seeing with the interest in Collage Quilts!! Lots of ideas out there that are very tempting. I need to suggest that my local quilt shop have some classes. I am a sucker for classes. Love the group input and social aspect as much as a definite time and place to get cracking rather than just ponder what I want to make. Yes, show us some pics. We love to see everyone's work!!!

Collage (ko-lazh'): An artistic composition of materials and objects pasted over a surface.
College (kol'-ij): A school of higher learning.
But we certainly can have class in collage in college.
I had to look them up to see the difference.
