If it were me, I would add a row of the baloon fabric after the blue, then repeat the blue, then repeat the panel, facing the other direction. I'd use the rows of blocks like you have them, on each end under the panels. I would make the row of baloon fabric wider but not as wide as the panels. Perhaps 2/3s as wide.
I love your panel and coordinating fabrics! It's going to be a happy bright quilt.

I love the quilt, layout and color and pattern choices! And I love it that there are others like me who just jump in. I have always been that way. I joined my first BOM this year, not liking it much, seems too controlled! LOL But I promised if I ordered it I would finish it. LOL

Great job, keep going!

I love your spinning pinwheels. I haven't seen a pattern for the "3 tier" type you have and would love to make some as well. Can you give me some pointers on how to make them? I have a pattern for a 2 tier pinwheel, just need to figure out how to get the smaller inside pinwheel.

You are doing great, with just the right proportions. Obvously, you are better at this than you thought. Trust yourself.

This is a 6" block out of a book titled Rotary magic by Nancy Johnson-Srebro. She calls them poseys and they're not that hard to make, which is good for me.

That is such cute fabric and you have made some really pretty blocks. Any way that you choose to put them together is going to be adorable.
