Ribbon Box quilt - Queen Size?
The Ribbon Box quilt pattern, https://media.rainpos.com/5456/ribbonboxquilt1.pdf, is free. It's a throw size, but my friend wants me to make a queen sized quilt with the design. Have any of you changed the pattern into a queen-sized quilt? Help, please!

The pattern is repeating elements, so just do more of them.
Easy enough to do ... just make the rows, longer/wider, to get to your desired width.
Add in extra rows til you get to the desired length of the quilt.

Just thought of something. I think you could make it work for a
Queen/King size and keep the design if you make the main design
the same size as the mattress then make the blunt part of the
ribbons fall on the sides. Hope this makes sense. Graph paper
is your friend.

I like EasyPeezy's idea, and would consider making all the "ribbons" end on the overhang to give it a bit of a border feel, with the tails different lengths to give interest. Maybe run them all up to the top on the "top' edge of the quilt.
I've made this in the throw size, used christmas fabric that had the look of real ribbon. It's a really fun pattern.

I think just doubling the size of each cut piece would result in a quilt that covers 4 times the area. Too Big. Also, unless you could draft it into a quilt design program and use the computer to calculate the sizes it would be a difficult math problem for this quilt. Since I have time on my hands I might try that. I'll let you all know what happens.
