Read about this ruler that helps with trimming up flying geese in quilt mag. Do you think this is worth it? Ever used it? Do I need yet another ruler or should I be able to do this on my own....may I add that I think math is a tool of satan...lol

looks like a very effective ruler, but for 15$ I'd want to make sure that I make a lot of flying geese blocks. I'd be using my own rulers and use the 15 for some more fabric to make geese...but I don't feel about math the same way you do!

I use the no waste method of making flying geese. No special rulers to buy.

Personally speaking, I hate to spend money on rulers or other specially sewing/quilting items that don't have more than one use. If you have the money, make a lot of flying geese, and will actually USE it, then go for it.

I cut the rectangle for the geese and figure out the size for the squares. I find it easy.

I use the one seam flying geese method. I don't need a ruler but I have lots of flying geese specialty rulers and will probably buy this one if I see it on sale. I rather have it for later when it's no longer being made. Most of the specialty rulers I have are no longer made and I can get a fortune for them on Ebay to buy more specialty rulers. LOL.
