Default Rotating Cutting Mat

Connecting Threads has the 17" rotating cutting mat on sale for $53 (original price is $88). My sister and I each ordered one yesterday. I can get myself all twisted around trying to cut squares, triangles, etc. on my regular cutting mat. Can't wait to get!

Joann's sells a Fiskar rotating mat, about a 7" square.
I think it's about $14 or $15. I use my coupon and get it for under $10.
I rarely cut anything larger than a 6" square so it's a perfect size for me.

I have one of those rotating mats and Love It!! It was a Christmas present a few years ago and I use it mostly when I'm doing paper piecing. It does make cutting so much easier so those smaller blocks.

LOVE mine. It is a 20 year old Olfa with ball bearings. Can't imagine cutting a twister quilt without it!

I have both the small and large Brooklyn Revolvers - While they're a bit smaller, I like them better because the turning mechanism is much smoother.
I also have a 24" square one that a friend made. Comes in handy for squaring larger blocks..

Either brand, they're a great notion to have.

Here's the Connecting Threads page:

Brooklyn Revolver (also pricey):

I bought an Olfa, hated it, sold it. I then did a quilt with a bazillion HSTs. I always make mine larger and then cut down. Started trimming them down, got a few done, grabbed the car keys and my coupons and away I went to purchase another one! Haven't regretted it since!!!
