Royal B Sewing Machine
#1
I mentioned the storage shed sale a week ago that had the tredle sewing machine in it. The man just called me and said it was a Royal B tredle and that it seemed to be "stuck". Its in a maple cabinet. I have never heard of a Royal B has anyone else? He said they wanted $150 for it but I have no idea what its worth, never heard of it. Would appreciate it if anyone knows about this brand?

I'm wondering if it could be an Eldridge B. (Never heard of a Royal B.) Here's a link to an Eldridge treade:

Is the cabinet extraordinary? Because that's the only way a machine like that in non-working condition could possibly be worth $150.

I only saw the cabinet from the side. It was maple with rounded drawer sides. He said the machine itself says "New Royal B" on the side of it but I cant find anything about it either. Ill keep looking but I was thinking $150 is a little high if the machine doesnt work! I have my grandmothers cabinet that had her singer in it but the machine itself is gone. I "really" want a singer to put in it! :) :-P
