Don't let the rudeness of someone else ruin your day. They are the ones who are lacking. You on the other hand are a wonderful Mariners fan. :)
Like this song?

You tube link to I Pray for you song lol.
I love this song!!!! I have never heard it before>
That is such a wonderful song. Would that more people could hear it. Even the young people with their W-e-i-r-d ways in this generation, might get some good out of it.

And if you are a lady in your 50's, brown hair, white shirt w/ print who was visiting the museum today with 2 other ladies of the same age who snickered at a young mom wearing a Mariners shirt.... I hope your sewing machine eats every last one of your quilts!
Oh, you gave me a good laugh! I'm like you, I dislike rude people whether at a quilt show or whereever. I especially like a grocery cart blocker who just stands there in the middle of the isle and looks at me as thought I some sort of an alien. Good for you! LOL
Being one of those grocery store cart people. It's because my mind is still thinking about what I was thinking about for the week and trying to remember and is slowly beginning to recognize that a person is there.

Hey, I'm older, a mother of 3, my brain transmission is slow now.

Oh I am sure they must have snickering at your shirt. You see, I am also a Mariner's fan, I gotta be, I live here, and they are the most gosh awful baseball team in the history of baseball. They have given away all the good guys and hire bush leaguer's hopeing to find some guys that they could win with. You know like this years Little League Champs. But, darn that won't even happen. We had Griffey, The Unit, A-Rod, Moyer, Edgar Martenez, just think we had them all and we gave them all away. Oh MEMORIES ! ! !
So you see they wern't laughing at you, it was your shirt. I know it was.

Am I just plain dumb or is there something I don't know about being wrong with wearing whatever you are comfortable in?

So sorry for your bad experience. We visit lots of quilt shops all over the United States while traveling . First sign of a good shop - if they speak when you walk through the door. We have stopped at many where they do not even acknowledge you are there. We never go back.

Sorry you had to get that type of a response from quilters- obviously we don't treat anyone in this forum that way- or pre judge them.

I do applaud you for keeping your cool and for wearing a Mariners shirt!! I'm still laughing about your wish for them- hilarious. How about hoping they can't remove their papers from paper piecing!!

The other day I was buying some supplies at WalMart when another quilter seen me trying to match up materials.
She came and started up a conversation. She remarked that quilters are the most friendly people of all crafts and willing to share hits, patterns, etc.
