So my boyfriend loves retro and vintage. he said he would love to have a quilt made from vintage fabrics and pattern. Where can I go find some inspiration and fabrics for such a beast??

This is a quilt my sisters, sister-in-law and niece made for our aunt and uncle. It was lots and lots of fun. We just picked favorite "old" blocks and used reproduction fabrics of our choice. Then we got together and added fillers to tie the blocks all together. We have all said we want one for ourselves and someday...

You might try to pin him down to what he means when he says "vintage" - when I think of "retro", I tend to imagine 1940's - 50's. Vintage could be almost anything.

I was just thinking the same thing as I was reading the question. So many types of vintage and what someone considers vintage. You may need to ask him for sure. :)

Try McCalls quilting website. I think it is called grandmother's favorites or something like that.
