Default Ruler question

I'm going to IQF in Houston (Yay!) and one of my classes (Heavenly Stars) is making a quilt block that will be turned into a clock for the wall. The supply list includes 4.5" square ruler/template and a 11.5" square ruler/template. I found the 4.5" ruler, but not the 11.5" ruler. Is there such a thing or do I need to make a template myself? Or do I buy the 12.5" ruler/template and that will work? Thanks for your help.

I would buy the 12.5 ruler, you will use it a lot more than a 11.5 one. There is some colored tape that
you can use to mark the 11.5 area, this will give you a more accurate cutting place. Going to Houston is
on my bucket list as well as Paducah, KY. Have lots of fun and report back to us when you catch your
breath!! If you see a booth there called "Happy Hollow" from Kansas, tell the owner Tammy, "Hi
from Lois". I worked 10 years for her; she has some neat ways of making small items for quilting;
as well as large quilts. Tammy has blonde hair; I don't know who else is going with her this year.
