Was that from Clotilde? Man,... the last thing I ordered from them was a 'pattern', turned out to be a leaflet, 8.95; S$ H 5.95... it cost me 1.24 to return it, and 60 days and 2 phone calls to get a refund. I keep getting catolouges that say 'DON'T LET THIS BE YOUR LAST!" if only.....they'll never get another cent from me.

Oh, I'm with you!... Do you think all redheads aren't that concerned about 'burning a bridge' or making a bad impression? because neither of those things seem to bother me that much. I figure if you don't have my best interest at heart, I feel the same about you....

I used to never worry about shipping and handling until I did the math one day and found out how much more I could buy without it.

Well I don't know about you -- but me and my red hair just get more cantankerous with age. I used to try to be nice and polite to everyone until I developed stomach problems. So now I try not to hold so much in.... :D

I hate paying high S&H. But, speaking as someone who owned an internet business, the costs really do add up. Mailing envelope/box, bubble wrap, bag, invoice, tape, label, person to package it and take it to post office, etc. Plus overhead since you're usually paying for the workspace.

I needed to order a sticker to replace one for a shop tool my husband has. The sticker was $1.60 and the shipping and handling was $8.00.................LOL

And it was to arrive in a regular envelope.

I have a problem with it, too! BTW, last month we bought a Bissell carpet cleaner machine from Walmart....online, for $80.00 less than the local stores and the shipping was..............................are you ready for this????????????????????? $.95.....yes...NINETY-FIVE CENTS.....

Shipping and handeling are moneymakers that's for sure. I recently sent a painting....was yaking and ignoring what the local shipping store was doing when packaging it. They put it in a HUGE (think refridgerator) box....wanted to charge me $85.00.....~!!!!!!! I made them RE-package it and it cost me $20.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Keepsake Quilting had free shipping last month I placed an order and even used the special code. I sent it to family in the US, as I know international shipping is (almost) never free. Well, when they saw the invoice I'd been charged $9 shipping! I haven't pursued it yet as I don't have the invoice in front of me, but I can't believe they actually charged me when it was meant to be free.
