Congrats on your new sewing room and house included! If you can't put down Pergo floor throw an area rug over it to cover some of the red. Many hours of fun in YOU OWN ROOM!!!!

You don't have to wait for someone to grow up and move out to get it either.

I agree about pulling up the red carpet. I have a blue carpet in my sewing room and laminate flooring in every other room. Am considering moving my sewing machine w/attached cutting table to front carolina room. With this gone from sewing room, I can have the carpet pulled up and laminate put down. Then just move all the fabric back in place. Do I have anyone who would like to help, it could turn into a party?

I have a light Pergo in my sewing room & I love it. Makes cleaning the floor a snap. Nothing damages it - even scissors falling points down just bounce off.

LOL...Sewtink I did the same thing and had the same thoughts....I think that means we need to slow down.

On a Serious note big congrats to you and your new sewing rm. even if it means the rest of the house has to come with it.
I love red and my sewing rm is done up in ALOT of primary colors but my vote is to pull up the carpet so much easier. maybe save a piece for a nice area rug, and a sign that says "Sallys Room"...Oh I am so excited for you, you are gonna love it...BIG CONGRATS!!!
