Thought I'd just start down the list at quilterscache making whatever 12" blocks tickle my fancy and look challenging. Then just try different layouts until I like it.

The quilt would be king size so I'd need quite a few blocks!
SS...if they are gonna come after you then we can keep each other company in the paddy wagon or whatever they are gonna do to us cause thats exactly my plan too. I had planned to take a class at LQS but time & lack of mola keep rearing their ugly heads so I thought I would just try to teach myself.
Good luck!

Why couldn't you pick whatever blocks you wanted to do. It is your quilt and you can do whatever you please.

I remember way back in the 80s, someone told me , "A little bit of yellow goes a very long way." Well, my favorite color is yellow and a "little bit" is not nearly enough! Just look at my avatar.

Good luck with your project and do it your way!

Kathy
I think of yellow as a neutral; it goes with every color!

I love sampler quilts. I plan on making a day bed cover out of every block I can find that I just have to make. It'll be fun, and you'll learn something every block you make. No quilt police anywhere here. Have fun.

Sounds like a good plan to me... I'm about doing the very same thing. And if the quilt police DO come after you, just flash your Quilter's License, and they'll back off. <G> The good thing about quilt police is that they can only get to you if you LET them. <G>

That is probably how the quilt police would do it too(if they existed)

and Mousie has a super sharp needle too! ;)
I'm going to do my sampler MY way too...let's give those quilt police a blanket party!!!
you toss a blanket over them and bish-boom-bah and they go crying to whoever will listen...not us ;-)
We won't hurt them...just scare the goobledy-gosh out of 'em!
