I never know what to do with all the left over pieces. I can't do scrappy cause I over think it!! I usually save them until I have too much & then I throw them away.
I used to have someone to take them for craft fair projects.
What do you do with yours?

If you can't do scrappy, why don't you put an ad on the forum for them. Quite a few do nothing but scrappy. I haven't done scrappy yet, but I don't throw them away.

I use my scraps for flip n sew squares. They are quick and fun when I don't have a project going.

About all I do is scrappy quilting1 I have never made a quilt with just 2 or 3 colors. I love seeing how many different materials I can put in a quilt. It's just the type of quilting that I do.

The miniature that I am now quilting on is 22" by 22" and it has 16 different fabrics in it. :D I think that's what makes this board so unique, is all the different types of quilters. I would gladly take your scraps , but there may be someone else who needs them worse than I do, since I keep a large stash.

Just wanted you to know that us scrap quilters are alive and well!

I use to toss my scraps because I knew I'd never take the time to cut small pieces from them. Now with the price of fabric being so expensive I save all but the tiny pieces. I sew them together anyway they want to go and then cut block pieces from that. It makes great border strips. I still end up with a basket of scraps from the scraps.

I cut my pieces that are smaller than a fat quarter into 5 inch squares.
There are many patterns for these charm squares.
There are lots of uses for 2 1/2 inch strips too.

I sometimes dig into my scrap bags and make strip blocks. string block actually is what they are called. you could sew onto cheap muslin squares. diagonally or straight or crazy quilt blocks.

Scrap quilts are probably my all-time favorite. I would love to have some of them and gladly pay the shipping.
