I was in TX and this woman told me about this great shop in MI that has rooms of batiks. But of course I have forgotten the name and place except for MI.

Want to do a little weekend and thought that would be a great place.

Anybody have an idea what LQS I am talking about?

TIA

Cindy

No, but I'll be watching!! Hopefully this shop is just over the border and not all the way in the UP.

Found this site which lists a bunch of shops in MI. Not sure how recent it is ....

http://www.quiltvisionusa.com/MichiganQuiltShops.html

And on this page I saw the following that showed large selection of batiks on their advertising ....

http://www.milesofstitches.com/

http://www.quiltsnstuff.net/

of course it could even be one of the others and they just don't mention batiks.

And then there is this store which mentions 6000 bolts!!!

http://www.countrystitches.com/

Where are you at in Illinois??

Woodstock. I was some lists too. I thought it might be the 6000 bolt store.

I go to Willowbrook now to get batiks.

Sew Elegent in Port Huron? I think (but don't know for sure) that this one is bigger than Country Stitches. Seems (seams ;-) ) like it is.

Can't think of it at the moment, but I believe there are a few big shops in the Saginaw area.
