I think that they are adorable. I love that they are making their way from the sand to the water.

I like it just the way you have it. Great job.

Odd number arrangements are pleasing. But I see 1 large turtle as an odd number and then the 3 babies as an odd number.

Maybe take some pictures of the quilt with the turtles some pictures of the quilt without the turtles -;and then look at the pictures?

I thought the baby turtles just hatched and went " by themselves" to the ocean?

Thank you! I just made the background with traditionally pieced storm at sea blocks and drew some turtles to applique. Used graph paper and colored pencils for SAS block colors.

The sea turtles make the beach a beach and the water, water. Use them!

Funny, but I thought from your header that you were asking about real sea turtles on real Maui.... I lived on Maui from 1974 til '85 and there were no sea turtles anywhere near land. Nor seaweed, nor lifeguards on the beach. None. The beaches were your own! Now there are lifeguards controlling the beach, and seaweed. Don't know if the sea turtles come in to shore too... They use to be found only way out offshore, by divers.
