Found it! Thanks to a member here! It is "Haus Fans" by Brenda Groelz and was in the Sept 1996 issue of Quilter Newsletter. Which I just found and purchsed off ebay! This message board and its members Rock!!!

I find many things on amazon, but how do you do it on eBay?

To me it looks like a take on Franny's fan. It looks like it might be paper pieced, but you could do it with the blade for the fan, then applique it to the base and add the center piece.

I remember seeing it in a quilt mag. Thought it might be Quilters Newsletter. I disposed of many books when I moved. I will have to check to see of I still have that edition.

If you can find that lady that says it was in a quilter news letter ask her if she knows the year or number on the magazine as I have about 25 years of quilters news letters and I could look however I do not remember that exact pattern but somewhere in stacks and stacks of magazines I have one similar but it is appliqued and called house on a hill
