I am frustrated with the search function on here! I have typed in various keywords to try to get to threads with pictures of how people have machine quilted their log cabin quilts/toppers/hangings and I keep getting results that have no pictures, or are not log cabins, or are hand quilted, or just random things...

Does anyone have any bookmarked that they could share with me? I have set up a "my page" with the ones I have found so far.... not many, but I would like to add more!

Grateful for any help you can give me on this one!

Have you tried the Quilt Gallery?

http://www.quiltingboard.com/user_page.jsp?upnum=2181

You can also Image Google for log cabin quilts.

Thank you. Yes I have, but I guess the issue I am having is that I am specifically looking for the quilting, but search engines throw up everything with a quilt in it, even if it is a piecing pattern and has no information about quilting, or if it is a tiny photo of a top where you cannot even see if the thing has been quilted or not, never mind how.

I just thought I'd ask if anyone had already searched for this, but meanwhile, I continue to get a hit rate of about one in twenty results showing something I am intersted in looking at. The joys of the internet!

If you enclose a phrase in quotation marks " " forces the search engine to look for those words together. The reason you often get a million + hits is because it's looking for each word individually. You can also use 'And' : "quilting on log cabin______" try both "quilt" and "block" in the blank. Then try: log cabin quilt and quilting/ quilting and log cabin quilt/ and both again using the word block instead of quilt. Also switching the phrase around may help. Good hunting!

Thanks cyrarian- I'll keep tweaking!
thimblebug, you are very kind- I had found two of those but you uncovered another goodie for me :-)

I think I will make a up a dummy cushion side with just light and dark triangles and have a play with it. I need the FMQ practice anyhow!
